Janette Santiago is a Professional Bookkeeper and is the owner and founder of Data Soup Business Services. Her unique financial experience has been attained through serving on a non-profit organization's Board of Directors as Treasurer, training through Langara College in Vancouver, BC and providing bookkeeping services for self-employed people, proprietorships and corporations. Serving as Treasurer required Janette to ensure that the organization's accounting procedures and controls were in place, to make formal presentations of the accounts at the annual general meetings, drawing attention to the important points in a coherent and understandable way as well as overseeing, approving and presenting budgets, accounts and financial statements. Her duties as a Virtual Bookkeeper consist of providing full cycle bookkeeping services which include company set up in QuickBooks, use of Excel spreadsheets, sales and expense tracking, A/P, A/R, preparing financial statements, organizing and implementing file systems for client's source documents, bank reconciliations and Government remittances.
